Jim DiVitale has been an Atlanta commercial advertising photographer and instructor for over 30 years, specializing in computer photo illustration. He is a PPA Master Photographer, Master of Electronic Imaging, Photographic Craftsman, Fellow of the American Society of Photographers, and a Canon “Explorer of Light”. As a Photoshop World Instructor with the National Association of Photoshop Professions Dream Team since 1999, Jim writes the “Digital Capture Workshop” column for Photoshop User Magazin and is a nominee to the Adobe Photoshop Hall of Fame. Jim also serves as Director of Education for the Digital Imaging Institute for Science and Medicine and has lectured on digital photography before audiences at Imaging USA, Seybold, Photo Plus Expo, MAC Design, HOW Design, Photo Fusion, APA, ASMP, WPPI, SWPP and World Council of Professional Photographers. He has made presentations to students and faculty at art schools nationwide, including Brooks Institute, San Francisco’s Academy of Art and the Hallmark Institute of Photography. Going completely digital capture in 1992, his award winning digital photography has been featured in many publications including Professional Photographer, Photo District News, Digital Imaging, After Capture Magazine, Graphis Photo, Print, Archive Magazine, Create Magazine, Creativity, and Rangefinder.
