How to Self-Publish Your Own Products

Everything you’ve always wanted to know about how to self-publish your own greeting cards, calendars, and books using traditional press printers.  And more importantly, how to make money doing it!
Join John E. Marriott, one of Canada’s most-recognized wildlife and nature photographers, for an in-depth look at how to self-publish your own products and make some serious money along the way.  Is there a market for your idea?  Can you really make money at it?  And where the heck do you begin?!!
John has self-published two Canadian best-selling coffee table books and sold more than 30,000 books across North America and another 130,000 greeting cards.  Add it up, and it means if you have any interest in someday publishing your own commercial products, then you can’t miss this two-hour seminar.
John will show you how he identified a market for his coffee table books and greeting cards in the Rockies, how he hired designers and editors, chose printers, and made money (did we mention money yet?) from self-publishing his coffee table books and greeting cards.

Getting Wild About Photography –
The Goods on Shooting Wildlife

Learn all about wildlife photography from one of Canada’s premier wildlife photographers, John E. Marriott.  John covers the backyard basics and delves into a variety of topics, including an in-depth, beginner-to-advanced overview of your optimal camera settings and techniques for a diverse range of wildlife photography encounters and situations.  John will provide a run-down of his own gear and what he considers to be must-have equipment, he’ll look at the ethics of photographing wildlife, and he will provide insight into how to make a career as a wildlife photographer.

John has photographed coast to coast across Canada, from humpback whales to hairy woodpeckers, and is one of the few full-time wildlife photographers represented by Getty Images and All Canada Photos.   He is a recent winner of the prestigious Canadian Geographic Wildlife Photograph of the Year award, and is the author-photographer of the Canadian best-selling coffee table book, Wildlife of the Canadian Rockies: A Glimpse at Life on the Wild Side

Join John as he shares with you his experiences photographing polar bears, wolves and other wild predators, and reveals his favourite tips, techniques, and easy-to-access locations for getting incredible wildlife shots.
